DatOlivo was created to solve a fundamental problem in the Chilean used apartment market: buyers making decisions without understanding the true condition of what they're purchasing.

Most people buying a used apartment rely on what they can see during a brief visit—fresh paint, clean surfaces, and the seller's assurances. What they don't see is the moisture behind the bathroom tiles, the unauthorized structural modifications, or the aging electrical system that will need replacement.

We provide technical information that levels the playing field. Our inspections reveal the hidden condition of apartments using specialized equipment and systematic evaluation protocols.

How we conduct inspections and deliver information

Systematic Inspection Protocol

We follow a standardized checklist covering structural elements, moisture detection, electrical systems, plumbing installations, and building common areas. Every inspection addresses the same comprehensive set of evaluation points.

Specialized Equipment

We use thermal imaging cameras for moisture detection, electrical testing devices, pressure gauges, and measurement tools. Technology reveals issues that visual inspection alone cannot identify.

Photographic Documentation

Every finding is photographed with location references and annotations. The report includes high-resolution images showing exactly what we discovered and where it's located within the apartment.

Severity Classification

We categorize findings as critical, significant, or minor. This classification helps you understand which issues require immediate attention and which are normal wear for a used property.

What We Don't Do

We don't appraise properties, don't offer opinions on whether the price is appropriate, and don't advise whether you should proceed with the purchase. We provide technical information—you make the decision.

Zero Conflicts of Interest

We have no relationships with real estate agencies, brokers, sellers, or other parties involved in property transactions. We don't receive referral fees or commissions. Our only client is the buyer who hires us.
